.Alopecia Areata ( AA) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by nonscarring hair loss on the scalp or any hair bearing skin including nail deformities. A wide range of pictures can occur, majority of patients experience a single patch of hair loss but some experience a complete loss of hair on the scalp called alopecia totalis or hair loss of the entire body called alopecia universalis. Alopecia Areata treatment is difficult even if spontaneous remission frequently occurs in mild forms of the disease.However others may also have a progressive course. Patients with Alopecia Totalis or Alopecia Universalis are difficult to treat. A number of Alopecia Areata treatments can induce hair growth in AA, but they do not cure the condition
